Wedding Makeup Tips You Should Never Forget

No bride wants to look horrible on their special day. It doesn’t matter whether or not you’re going to hire a makeup artist, you still need to be ready and you need to remember these tips to make sure that everything will go as planned.

1. Remember that the makeup you’re going to wear on your wedding day should be an enhancement of what you usually wear. For instance, if you typically go for the natural look, then you should use natural colors on your wedding day too but it should be enhanced or stronger. You may try out other makeup styles but make sure that it looks good on you. You don’t to be wearing blue mascara and orange lipstick out of the blue. You don’t want to scare your fiancé, don’t you? Make sure that he can still recognize you despite what you’re wearing. Also, make sure that the makeup artist knows how to define your strong features and hide your flaws. And lastly, if you’re not comfortable with what you’re wearing, change it. You don’t want to walk down the aisle and still think about how you don’t like the shade of your lipstick.

2. Makeup trials are very important. Do a practice run – wear your makeup, your dress, your veil and take a few photos to see if they all blend well together.
3. Go waterproof. This is going to be an emotional day for you and your fiancé. So make sure that you won’t smudge your makeup and come out looking horrible. Make sure that everything is waterproof, especially your mascara.
4. A long-lasting makeup is a must. This way, you don’t need to constantly retouch your makeup. Re-applying your makeup is a big no-no because, for one, there would be no time for this.
5. During your wedding, make sure you have these things in hand:
a. Cotton buds or tissue to wipe away mascara smudges
b. You need your lipstick. You’ll need a touch up every now and then.
c. You’ll need to blot away sweaty patches using a translucent powder
d. There will be a lot of kissing and drinking that will happen at your wedding. So, a breath freshener is a must.
e. If you’re wearing contact lenses, make sure you have a contact lens solution in your bag.
f. You need to smell good all the time so make sure you bring a small phial of your perfume or cologne.
g. Your fiancé, of course! You must not forget him!
