Wedding Jewellery – Can you Wear it Again?

Your wedding dress isn’t the only thing you need to think about when deciding on your overall bridal look, your wedding jewellery is another important factor. In fact, it’s your wedding jewellery that adds the finishing touch to your outfit so it’s important to get it perfect.

Once you’ve found your wedding jewellery, there’s no need to just wear it for the wedding, don’t just bung it in your jewellery box and take it out now and again when you’re having a trip down memory lane.

If you’ve decided to rent your wedding jewellery you won’t be able to do this. After your wedding day, You’ll have memories of it and you’ll be able to see it in your photographs. But when you’ve got another special occasion and you’re trying to decide exactly what accessories to wear, you could end up kicking yourself, when you remember that perfect necklace was sent back to the rental company.

If you’ve bought the right jewellery you’ll be able to find occasions to wear it again and when you do, you’ll constantly remind yourself of your perfect wedding day.

Putting on your wedding jewellery on your anniversary will remind you and your husband how wonderful the day was, team it with the perfume you wore on the day and you’ll automatically travel back in time to the day you said “I do”.

Most bridal jewellery is created from crystal and pearl, both with match most outfits. Crystals, in particular, can be worn with casual outfits to dress them up and pearls add formality. A crystal necklace can be worn with a low cut top and a pair of jeans to jazz up the outfit for a family meal or a night in the pub.

You’ve probably spent quite a bit of money on your jewellery so you really should get the value out of it and wearing them just for one day isn’t going to do that. Wear your jewellery on every occasion that you can.

You don’t need to wear every piece of bridal jewellery at the same time, but you might find your earrings can be worn quite regularly, your bracelet can be worn with most short sleeved tops and your necklace with dresses or nice tops.

If you really don’t feel like you have the opportunity to wear your jewellery again, then wrap each piece up carefully and store them in a dry dark place so they can be passed down to the next generation. That way your daughter or future daughter in law can use them as their “something borrowed”.
