How to Use Makeup for Good Wedding Photographs

In reality, no one will remember what type of wedding flowers you had as wedding centrepieces or what type of bouquet you carried the wedding ceremony. Years from now, your future kids and even your grandkids will marvel at your wedding photos and not on the wedding itself since they will not be able to attend that one. To create lasting pictures that will just show how beautiful you are, you should aim to be beautiful on your wedding day.

For instance, you should avoid wearing complicated hairstyles and veils. You will be walking around most of the day and you will not be able to just easily go to the bathroom when you need to. You will also not be able to have a mirror with you all the time unless your wedding reception has mirrors in all places. You do not want your veil hanging to the side or your bangs plastered to your face. Make it simple, but keep it elegant. If you want a dramatic veil for your walk down the aisle find something that can be easily detached after the wedding ceremony.

You should also have a small clutch bag or pouch that matches your wedding gown. This should have blotting paper, pressed powder, lipstick and blush. Your maid of honor can carry this for you since you will not be able to carry your clutch bag with you the whole time and since your maid of honor will be there for you wherever you go, you can easily get the chance to beautify yourself when the need arises.

When it comes to your makeup, wear waterproof mascara since you will cry most of the time. You will also sweat since you will be around for the entire day, so do not wear heavy makeup. Do not wear sheer lipstick since you will eat it off. If you are going to wear one though, wear a matte or semi-matte base and apply the sheer lipstick as a top coat. Make sure that you blot well or it will end up around your mouth or worse on your teeth. And do not wear shimmery makeup unless it is applied by a professional makeup artist.

Bridal makeup should always be soft and romantic, not harsh and hard. Natural pinks are most common and would let you become a blushing bride. Stay away from hard-edged contouring and dramatic browns. And finally, take great photographs right after the ceremony so your makeup is still intact.
