The people of Japan can wear the tiniest of shorts and the shortest of skirts but one thing that was a strict €no no’ was showing off the midriff. But, the winds have change as this summer; girls were seen sporting crop tops which showed off their belly buttons and tummies.

These sandals were really €in’ this summer as almost everyone was seen sporting them. These sandals are incredibly stylish and go with almost anything. However, most say that they are here to stay while many also think that they are just a summer fad.

One of the fashion trends of Japan that was seen a lot was the cartoon character print. Cartoon characters like Bart Simpson and company were seen printed on pants, t-shirts and bags in the streets of Japan this summer. Just when the trend was dying out, it was seen again. Also, the batman logo was seen in print this summer.
Cat or winged eye Make-up
The famous cat or winged eye make-up was seen on the streets of Japan this summer. The trend was seen in different varieties, on the eyes of women from 16 to 60. However, it is not easy to say how long this look will last but it is presently very much in vogue.
Statement Necklaces
Statement necklaces were much like clutch bags this summer in Japan. These were extremely popular in spring and appeared to stay till summer. These necklaces were seen sported by many in Japan this year however, the trend is said to be on the decline.
