Embellish Your Bridal Attire with Gorgeous Wedding Jewellery and Accessories

Selecting wedding jewellery is a cinch once you know a few basics. You’ll want your jewellery to complement your wedding gown as you walk down the aisle. Shopping for bridal jewellery should be fun, not stressful. Here are some ideas to find just the right pieces for your wedding ceremony.

Sparkling or Natural

Consider whether you want your wedding jewellery to sparkle or give a more natural appearance. For sparkling jewellery, opt for a necklace and earrings made with crystals decorating a lovely gold or silver chain. Crystals and diamante jewellery will reflect light and colours with a prism-like glare that will dazzle all your guests! For a more natural appeal, try pearl wedding jewellery. Pearls have traditionally been a wedding favourite for decades and always provide an elegant look without being too glitzy.

Jewellery Design

Match your wedding jewellery design to your dress and hairpiece or hairstyle. If you’ll be wearing your hair pulled back with wedding hair accessories, then longer dangling earrings will really add to your attire. If wearing your hair down, avoid long earrings…these might get tangled in your hair and will only cause distractions during the ceremony. Simple pearl or single diamond earrings will do if you have long hair and plan to leave it down.

Consider the patterns, beads, embroidery and neckline of your wedding dress. If it has floral-like patterns, look for jewellery with a similar design. If you plan to wear a fascinator in your hair, be sure your jewellery will blend well with it and your dress. If your dress has a high neckline or one that wraps around at your neck, consider using a pin-on brooch instead of a necklace. For the medium to low necklines, a regular length necklace or even a choker necklace will work.

Decide if you want bulky jewellery or inconspicuous items. With a simple dress design, consider more elaborate looking jewellery and vice versa with a more complex design.
