You are walking on a cloud and you just have to have the romantic wedding you have been dreaming of all your life. You’ve watched movies and television shows that showed romantic weddings, but you have always known, given the chance, you can out-do them all.
Your time has finally come. Rushing through the items that have to be done first, you have managed to get your wedding location, set the date and time with your loved one and ordered the wedding invitations. Just this week you picked the most luscious wedding dress that was just waiting for you to come get it.
Everything is going as planned. Now, you face the challenge of picking your flowers. You know in your heart you will not be happy until you have pretty pink flowers to match the pink satin ribbons that are on the bridesmaid dresses. You simply have to have the bouquet with a matching pink satin bow.
You know the colors you want, soft and romantic pinks and whites to make the church a dream land. Unfortunately, that’s all you know. That’s not true. You know you do not have the funds for an all rose pink flower scheme. Not knowing a lot about other pink choices, what are you going to do?
It’s easy. First, you can boot up your computer, and start scrolling around. Keep it simple. Ask for pink flowers. Be prepared for an amazing array of possibilities. You expected to find a few, but nothing like the lavish and stylish loveliness of some of the choices.
Start making a list. Prioritize. Just because they are on the site does not mean they will be available for your wedding. It depends on the location where they thrive and the season they are in bloom. This step is just to orient you to how gorgeous your wedding can be with all the pink beauties you see.
After you have made a list, it’s time to find your florist. Before you go to your appointment with her, narrow the choices down a little more. You will just confuse the two of you if you have twenty-five possible pink flowers to discuss.
What you have achieved so far is very important. When she mentions a possible pink flower for use at your wedding, you probably will know what it looks like. Especially if the two of you think alike. Have her either show you pictures of work she has personally done, or has been done in her shop. Sometimes the talented one is in the back of the store.
If you pick up on the fact that she is really the store-owner or the salesperson, ask to speak with whoever will be doing the work. Tell her your vision. It will make her job much easier and it is more likely that the romantic Cinderella vision you have always in your head will be what you see when you see your beautiful pink flowers on your wedding day. See, just what you always wanted.
