As Eleanor Roosevelt said €Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself. € I don’t think anybody would want to make any mistake on their day of wedding! Here is a set of mistakes made by some people like you and me. Thank them for you get to learn through their mistakes!
Like most of us, Anna had dreamt of how she will get married. Now she had different versions of it. She wanted one on the beach, one in a palace, one with just close friends in some small far island and one on the moon! Now, she was getting married just once so she could not really go for all of them. So she went ahead with an island wedding. Now, even though she loved the food it was unpalatable for the guests who showed up. There were many who didn’t because they weren’t excited as Anna was to travel all the way to that island and see a wedding! However, it wasn’t a complete disaster but it wasn’t what she expected. Not even close to what she had imagined.
So here is the tip for you: Know what you want! You should keep in mind everything starting from how many guests you expect, the menu, the convenience of others as well. Wedding venues come with the whole package and are mostly flexible. What kind of photos you want? Do you want a theme wedding? Revise all this in your head and only then choose a venue!
Now Sonia knew everything she wanted. So she found THE venue (or thought so). She visited the venue personally and examined everything. She just forgot to ask if the venue would allow them to use their own supplies. This venue had this policy that the customers must use only the supplies provided by the venue.
What we learned: Ask them everything. Eat their head with questions and ask stupid questions if you think you must! Tell them how you want your wedding. They may seem uninterested but make them sit through your story. They should never claim that €You never told €¦€
I don’t think I have to write a story here. You just have to revisit your memories and find that person who was most tensed on their wedding and after. Everybody has had a friend or someone whom they have seen crying after the wedding over the costs incurred and their inability to pay. Even then, we go ahead with expensive weddings! You may have dreamt of fairy tale wedding. But can you afford a fairy tale? Yes, theme weddings are a way! But does it fit your budget? This is definitely the most important day of your life so make it memorable in a good way. You don’t want to remember a wedding where your face just shows the loan amount on your face in every picture!
This friend of mine had been planning her wedding since she got into a relationship. She was very cautious about everything. She asked everything and got answers for everything. Now she wasn’t in town to check out the place for herself so she asked her parents to do the same. Her parents didn’t exactly know what she had in her mind or what was had imagined her wedding venue as. They liked it. They approved. They asked the venue to send them the photos and forwarded the same to her. Now, they had an amazing photographer with a very expensive camera, so all the photos looked CLASSY! She went ahead and booked. On the day of her wedding, she was disheartened to see the stage which was very small, the not so beautiful ceiling, the flickering lighting. And sadly there was an electricity cut and they had to wait for 2 hours before the generator was arranged.
So we learned: Checkout the venue for yourself! People cannot read your mind and they don’t visualize as you do so if you want a perfect venue, you might just have to take some pains!
Now love at first site might have happened with your spouse. And you may feel that the venue you just fell in love with is THE ONE! But wait. If you think so then be extra careful because you don’t want to ruin it. And take a little more pains of visiting other sites as well you never know. If you want perfection you need to run for it.
